Lynda Applegate, a Henry R. Byers Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, is widely known for her research on the influence of IT on markets and organizations, e-commerce and innovative management control systems. Her long, distinguished career in both academia and industry includes authoring four books, over 40 articles and book chapters, and 200 published case studies. She has served as an international consultant, and as a director on the boards of both public and venture-backed companies, including as member of the Advisory Council for NASDAQ, the Comptroller General of the U.S., and the World Bank’s Global Development Gateway. Her honors include Harvard Business School’s prestigious Apgar Award for Innovation in Teaching (1999) and the School’s Berol Award for research excellence (1992).
