Dr. Leon Schwartz

Dr. Leon Schwartz has over forty years experience in management consulting, marketing, information technology, product development and applied research. Dr. Schwartz led the corporate Management Science consulting group at Pitney Bowes, Inc. and provided analytical database marketing technology services to Pitney Bowes customers. He has worked with virtually every functional area, from research to production to finance to marketing to MIS to human resources. He consulted with every business unit from corporate ventures to core equipment businesses from outsourcing services to capital and financial services. Leon is a leading advocate of the "Customer First!" approach, speaking at conferences and forums and publishing in industry media.

In 2001, he left the corporate world and formed his own company, Informed Decisions Group (www.informeddecisionsgroup.com). IDG is a CRM consultancy, featuring CAMEO Marketing Technology. Dr. Schwartz continues to be very active in the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (www.informs.org), as Past-President of the Metro NY chapter (www.informsny.org); and was named INFORMS Fellow and conferred with the Moving Spirit Award in 2007. He is writing his book: “The Wizard of Inc: Confessions of a Seeker of Corporate Competency”. Schwartz was Visiting Associate Professor at Fordham University Business School and adjuncts at Touro in the MBA and MSIS Programs. He was recently Visiting Associate Professor of Operations Management with the Sy Symms School of Business at Yeshiva University. Teaching is something he finds very exciting and rewarding. Testing
